The five filters on the Control Ribbon allow the user to query for a project.
Filters
The table below describes the five filters in STIP Viewer:
| Filter | Description |
| STIP ID | A textbox used to enter a STIP ID in whole or in part (ex. 1391 or 9). |
| Municipality | A picklist of all municipalities in the state, including "Admin/Statewide" and "All Municipalities" options. |
| Program | A picklist of all programs for the current STIP as defined in the Program Targets interface (STIP Manager). |
| Investment Type | A picklist of all available investment types. |
| STIP Year | A picklist of all years within the current STIP window. |
Once the desired filters are filled, the "Find" button will instigate the search. Then, the related projects will appear on the Map and in the Search Results table. The example below shows the results for the search criteria of "All Municipalities" (Municipality picklist) and "RIDOT Traffic Safety Program" (Program picklist).
The "Clear" button will remove all selected filters and map results. The Search Results table will also be dismissed if this button is selected.
Search Results Table
The Search Results table provides some key information on the listed project. Each column type is described below.
| Column Type | Description |
| STIP ID | This is the unique identifier for the project. For projects originating in the Project Bundler application, this will be a numeric value. For projects originating in STIP Manager, this ID will be automatically generated in the format S#####. |
| Name | The name for the STIP project as shown on the Project Detail tab (STIP Manager). |
| Municipality | This is a distinct list of all municipalities for the project. |
| STIP Window Years | These fields will contain the amounts programmed for the specified year for all years within the current STIP window. |
| STIP Total | This will be the sum of all programmed amounts for the STIP project. |
There are some "exporting" tools in the Search Results table:

| Open in Excel | Opens the current search results in Excel. |
| Open in PDF | Opens the current search results in PDF. |
Map Pop-Up
While the Search Results table offers information on the project, the user can also access the map pop-up for additional information (Program, Funding, etc.) if desired. To view the pop-up, the user can click a point on the map. More information about this tool is given in the Map Frame article.
