The Actions interface is used for managing changes to the current approved version of the STIP. When this menu item is selected, four tabs will be on display:
Tabs
The four tabs on the interface provide the ability to review, edit, and process pending changes through the Amendment and Adjustment workflow.
- Staging -- Serves as the landing page for all pending changes to the STIP.
- Pre-Approved -- Displays the list of project changes that were previously submitted on the Staging or Project Detail tabs.
- Revisions -- Displays all the changes that have been included in a STIP Revision.
- History -- Hosts read-only information on all project changes within an approved Revision.
Actions Requiring Revisions to the STIP
For Rhode Island, a STIP revision may be made for the following four types of revisions:
- Major Amendment
- Minor Amendment
- Administrative Adjustment
- No Action Adjustment
The STIP Manager application includes a "Rules Engine" to automatically define changes made in the interface into these categories. Each time a user saves changes to Projects or a Refresh from Project Bundler is initiated, the system will check the changes that the user made against the rules that define an Amendment or Adjustment. If the system determines that these changes warrant an Amendment or Adjustment, they are marked accordingly in the database and are displayed in the Actions module. The rules listed in the Rules Table can be defined by the user under "Rules Engine" in System Administration.
