The Pre-Approved tab displays the list of project changes that were previously submitted on the Staging or Project Detail tabs. System Administrators or users with Actions Pre-Approval permissions can select change items or packages for assignment to a STIP revision in this tab.
The "Filter" picklist allows the user to narrow the displayed projects to those with pending changes not included in a package (<Not Included in a Package>) or those in a specific package (ex. RIDOT Package 1 (Submitted 4/20/2020)). A "Show All" option is also included in the Filter picklist.
For the projects that result from the filter selections, the privileged user can edit the Action picklists. Action picklists can be filled individually, by package, or all at once (Action to Take (for all blanks) picklist). Regardless of the filling method, these are the available Action types on the Pre-Approved tab:
| Action | Description |
| Rejected | If the change was initiated from the Project Bundler, this action will move the change back to the Staging tab. If the change was initiated within STIP Manager, this action will revert the pending change back to the previously approved value. An email will be sent to the Requestor indicating that the requested changes were rejected. |

Add to Revision (X) |
This option will progress the change to the Revision tab, to be displayed within Revision (X), where (X) is a STIP Revision that was previously created but has not yet been submitted for approval. There can be multiple STIP Revisions open at any time. |
| Add to NEW Revision (Y) | This option will progress the change to the Revision tab, to be displayed within Revision (Y), where (Y) is a newly created STIP Revision represented by the next number after the current open revisions. |
| <blank> | This option performs no action and leaves the change within the Change table; this is the default setting. |
Once the desired Action fields have values, the "Save Changes" button can be selected to process them according to their assigned action. The "Discard Changes" button resets all Action picklists to the previously saved values.
NOTE: The "Type" field can also be overridden by a STIP Administrator on this tab if desired.
